March 25 2015: 2 years later, where is 1D currently?

Today is just another day for most people. Except for many fans of One Direction, which includes myself. March 25 2015, exactly 2 years ago, was the day Zayn Malik officially left One Direction. You can think or say what you want about that, but I can tell you it isn't fun when it happens. To this day it still hurts a little when I think back about the moment everyone got the news. On this memorable day I'd like to show everyone what One Direction and Zayn are currently doing. Take a look below to see what they are up to.

Zayn Malik: 
Exactly a year ago to date Zayn released his debut solo album, Mind Of Mine. Most known for the single Pillowtalk. Since then he also did various colaborations with other artists. Most recently he released the song I Don't Wanna Live Forever with Taylor Swift. Lately Zayn has been in the studio working on his second solo album, which probably be released somewhere this year. 2 days ago, he released his first single, Still Got Time, featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR.



One Direction:
After Zayn's depature 1D continued the rest of their tour as a foursome. In the mean time they also recorded their first album without Zayn, Made In the A.M, which was released November 13 2015. After the release of their album, the boys went on a hiatus. Taking a break from the non-stop touring and recording albums on the road. Some of them have already released some solo music or are about to do so this year.



Niall Horan: 
Niall was the first one to release solo music out of all the guys. Pretty much keeping it a secret until the day he released his first single, This Town. Niall is in and out of the studio at the moment putting the finishing touches to his debut solo album. He was worked with producer Don Was, who has worked with names like The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan.



Liam Payne: 
After Niall's release of his first single Liam also announced he was working on solo material. Nothing has been officially released yet, but in April 2016 a demo of a song called You by Juicy J and Whiz Khalifa featuring Liam was leaked online. Liam is still working on his solo album, but no single or album release has been officially announced yet.

Louis Tomlinson: 
On December 10 2016, Louis debuted a collaboration he had been working on with EDM dj Steve Aoki. They debuted their song live for the first time on X Factor UK. Louis has been collaborating with other people and currently rumor is that he might release a song with singer Bebe Rexha soon. But no official confirmation has been made yet. So far it's not clear if he has signed a solo record deal yet and if he will be releasing a full album in the future.



Harry Styles:
Rumors are flying when it comes to Harry Styles and possible solo music. It's been said he has signed a solo record deal with Columbia Records. Recently Sony Music CEO, Rob Stringer, said that his album isn't far away from being ready. Apparently the album was recorded in Jamaica and will have a 70's folk rock sound. Apart from any solo rumors he has also been acting. He will be playing a role in Cristopher Nolan's new movie Dunkirk, which will be released July 21st 2017 (US). Besides that he also did a photoshoot for Another Man magazine. 

Edit: it has just been announced today that Harry is going to release solo music on April 7.
 

It's safe to say, none of the 1D boys have been sitting still during their hiatus. As a fan, I'm very much looking forward to all the solo music, movies and other great stuff that will come with that. Please let me know in the comments what you are most excited for.
